Noticing and Recommitting

Thanks everyone for sharing your precious dreams for the new year. I'm imagining that you have experienced successes and blocks to your new vision this last week. One of the things you can reliably count on is that whenever you make bold statements of what you want, you end up with support and often also get to see where you've been stopping yourself.

One of my intentions this year is to live spaciously. I've lived a lot of my life in overwhelm and overdrive. I get lots done but sacrifice my well being. So for me spacious means that I allow myself plenty of space and time to naturally create all that I choose. So of course yesterday I felt the old familiar buzz of the "I've got so much to do and no time to do it" My old pattern rearing it's head for observation. At this point I get to say "Hello, overwhelm, how are you today?" One of the ways I know to open into space is to breathe. Deep breathing literally creates more space in our bodies. So as I'm writing this I'm taking deep breaths and recommitting to spaciousness. In the past when I would get off track I used to either beat myself up or stall myself out by trying to figure out why I got off track. This one simple technique of noticing when I'm off track and recommitting to what I want has saved me so much time and effort. The energy I used expend in my old tactics is now put into bringing myself back in the game.

TRY IT ON:
Notice if you have gotten off track from any of your New Year's Intentions. Simply notice and recommit to your original intent. You may need to do this about 1000 more times through the year this is part of the process. As long as your bring yourself back in the game you can't lose.

Good Luck
Megan

Hmmmmm.....so, when I feel myself not performing as well as I think I should in the game, I tend to take myself out and beat myself up and try to figure out why I screwed up. Sometimes, I don't ever come back to the game because I feel I'm going to screw up again or lose anyway. But, the point is the game...recommitting….not going into my head so much about it but just focusing on playing. I tend to draw game plan after game plan but avoid just getting out there and hitting the ball—afraid I’ll hit it not quite right.
I’ve realized that I am an adrenalin junkie, also—I strive for overwhelm and overdrive and live pretty well there most the time (I can avoid playing when I there). But, I want it more easeful now, my joints and heart are giving out and I want gentle volleys and fun, and not dripping with sweat, gasping for breath, exhaustion—go for blood competition.
Games are meant to be fun aren’t they? I recommit to having fun….to hell with the rules and the points, I’m going to kick ass the fun way (still a little adrenalin left). I’ll step into the game, take a deep breath, and swing. I love your gentle volleys Megan, I want to play.

There really is a secret to genius, I wouldn’t believe it. In fact, the only reason I even tried to increase my intelligence was because everyone I knew was SO MUCH SMARTER than me that I HAD to!! To find out more : http://www.google-buzz.com/geniusintelligence/

Hey! I know this is kind of off topic but I was wondering if you knew where I could
get a captcha plugin for my comment form? I'm using the same blog platform as yours and I'm having problems finding one?
Thanks a lot!

Hi there would you mind stating which blog platform you're working with? I'm planning to
start my own blog soon but I'm having a difficult time choosing between BlogEngine/Wordpress/B2evolution and Drupal. The reason I ask is because your design seems different then most blogs and I'm looking for something unique.
P.S Apologies for being off-topic but I had to
ask!
